At Jacana we have over 80 years of combined experience in the financial services profession. Our lead consultant, Sue Nuttall, has an in-depth understanding of the independent advice sector. She has a management qualification from Leeds University, gained her Advanced Financial Planning Certificate (AFPC) and is an experienced user of Adviser Office, the leading front & back office IFA software package, provided by Iress.
Sue started her career in financial services back in 1988, having spent 7 years in the textile industry. She first came across 1st (as Adviser Office was then known) in 1997 when she was asked to source and implement a ‘back-office’ system at Wise Speke. She has worked with Adviser Office ever since, as an administrator, an adviser and as an office manager. She set up one of the very first user groups in 1998, and still runs it today.
In 2000 she was seconded from her position as Adviser to manage the integration of the various Brewin Dolphin Financial Services offices on to Adviser Office. This involved the transfer of 12 sets of data from other systems such as Swift, LSD and Fairs, and the training of over 100 people at the various sites across the country.
When the opportunity arose in April 2004 to start her own training and consultancy company she did just that and Jacana was formed with the aim of providing independent, bespoke and affordable support on back office systems to users across the UK.
Jacana has since worked with well over 100 IFA firms around the UK, providing bespoke training solutions, consultancy advice on IFA software packages and on the processes and procedures that surround them. Jacana is recognised as being an expert in income reconciliation and provides a full reconciliation service to a portfolio of clients throughout the UK.
